Cosmetic condition

overall excellent cosmetics! paint glossy (garage kept). seats and shield nice - overall looks like what it is. a garage-kept bike owned by a generally fair weather rider has had two minor zero speed tipovers (one on each side). chewed end of left grip. scuffs on left mirror. fairing lower. bag trim highway pegs popped holes in fairing lowers but you can't see unless you are on the ground small scratched area of paint on rear of right saddlebag. boot scuffs on peg mount plates plastichome lifting in one spot on left crash bar cover

Service  / Mechanical condition

starts readily and idles well. good throttle response rides beautifully. smooth gearbox. excellent power. braking and handling (Ohlins improvement very noticeable) Ohlins were put on in about 2006 and were set up for a 175-225lb rider tires like new. they are Metzeler ME880s and have only 2500 miles on them good battery. always on a tender slight exhaust rattle at startup that fades when warm. could be internal in pipe or cat I've ordered a new center pipe support which was missing (hoping that will fix the exhaust rattle) all recalls up to date. bike has been meticulously maintained - no "shade tree" mechanics ALWAYS on synthetic fluids dealer: stamp in book for Pre-delivery check dealer: stamp in book for Run-in check (591 miles) oil and filter change. nbsp;12/28/02 (4. 04 miles) dealer: stamp in book for 6k service. 11/12/04 (8. 23 miles) some services from 8. 4k to 47k were done on time by independant BMW mech with BMW parts and fluids (records misplaced during a move) later services were at (now closed) Twin City BMW in Illinois (records misplaced during a move) the clutch was been replaced at about 30. 00 miles dealer: annual service with oil / filter changed (synth). 7/25/14 (49. 28 miles) dealer: two new tires. 7/25/14 (49. 28 miles) dealer: new throttle cables. nbsp;9/13/14 (49. 79 miles)
