BMW Funduro F650 low milage

Welcome to the sale of my 1996 BMW Funduro 650 single.  

I purchased this bike two years ago on a whim.  

Having not ridden for over 20 years and feeling out of touch with what to chose (my last bike was a CX500) 

I wanted something to start off gently and plod about on.

Well the plodding didn't last long. the funduro is such an easy likeable and yes "fun" bike to ride I was quickly back into the swing and looking for any excuse to go out for just one more ride.

Over the last 2 years I have done a little over 2000 dry miles. I don't get as much free time as I would like.  

In that time I have not had to do anything major to the bike.  

In June 2014 I had the fork oil seals and steering head bearings replaced. (the head bearings tend to fail due to heat from the engine oil in the bike frame. ) and in May 2014 it was serviced. oil and filter changed. new air filter. spark plugs. (2 plugs twin spark even though it's a single)  new plug caps and a new rubber carb manifold. the old one was starting to crack and perish. a common issue.  

The last mot in July 2014 had three advisers. the head light had a small chip. and although it didn't cause me a problem. I've had it changed in case it got worse.

The wheel alignment was very slightly out and this has now been corrected.

Lastly the chain has a tight spot/spots. That is still the case. the sprockets look ok and I've re cleaned and re oiled the chain and was just going to see how that goes before buying a replacement.

and in it pointed out 3 small paint chips and a small nip in the seat that's covered by black tape. also a few scuff scratches on the bolt on exhaust shield.   

Remember the bike is 18years old so has the associated wear and tear.   

The tyres. Conti Trail Attack. I had fitted new shortly after I brought the bike in June 2012 so again they have covered just over 2000 miles.
