BMW R1200S (R 1200 S)

Fabulous R 1200 S for sale due to lack of use. FIRST CASH OFFER OVER £4. 00 WILL BE ACCEPTEDThis is the very hard to find Sports Pack model. in black. which includes;6 inch rear sport wheel. nbsp;plush Ohlins suspension. nbsp;heated grips. raided brake lines trip computer. and ABS brakes.  Hard to find in black. with even harder to find custom black wheels!!. most are in the silver/red colour combination. The after market extras include:carbon rear huggerFairing protectorsblack painted wheels. which are essential n the black model. look amazing I think. with white reflective  pin stripingZARD stainless exhaust which looks brilliant and releases a proper soundtrack on downshiftsTail tidy and smaller indicatorsfront fender extendertank and ducktail protectorsI spent 6 months looking for one of these in top condition. in the best looking black with sports pack. and snapped up the one you see here from Metropolis Motorcycles (was a part exchange).  I have had a few big twins before. TRX850 (fun but carbs). TL1000s. Ducati 1098 (too small and gets too hot). Aprilia RSV Factory (my fave in the bends but too much engine heat). and this is the most charming of the lot. Reminds me most of the TL1000s. big twin grunt with strong mid range. decent top end power for a twin. and very comfortable for a sports bike.   The suspension on the R1200s though is on a whole other planet versus the TL. Amazing ability to absorb the bumps. and doesn't dip on braking due to tele-lever front end instead of typical USD forks. Real shame to see it go. but just can't let it sit under cover getting no mileage. as tempting as it is. Recently had a service and MOT and the mechanic noted it had the strongest brakes on any r1200 they've tested - a BMW specialist. Useful for longer motorway rides if u have any accessories that need charging etc---------------------------------3 Sept: the fuel pump has just been replaced under factory recall repair. The existing one worked fine. this was just a preventative/cautious factory recall item. as i understand for all R1200s. so make sure has been done on any you look at. The bike does admittedly run even better afterwardr. Quite surprising really. smoother throttle and gear changes. so perhaps thew new item has been improved over the original 7 years ago.  A thorough all over bike iinspection was performed at the same time by BMW Parklane. systems tested. brakes. ECU. fueling mix. safety inspection (fishing for work of course). passed with nothing to be done.
