2004 BMW R1150RS R 1150 RS Nice late bike with quite low miles. Good extras too.

As a general overview of the bike:

Nice 2 owner bike. last owner from 2005. All rides well. the top box is a bit of a state on the mounting. and it has been over polished so has white residue on the seat and boxes.

Otherwise not bad. rides well and quite low miles for the year.

BASIC DETAILS:

Books and manuals: Both books. service book stamped with work done

SPECIFICATION AND EXTRAS:

ABS. Heated grips. BMW panniers. Givi top case.

SERVICE HISTORY:

BMW dealer up to 2009/ 13k miles.  Definitely due an annual and 18k now.

FAULTS AND ISSUES:

Very little with the bike. really only cosmetics and the service due. Some of the usual corrosion on fasteners and forks. Light drop both sides to mark protectors and panniers.

Main issue is a bit too much polish recently which has been used on the black plastics. It will wash and rub off but will take a few goes.

Mechanicals seem fine with no issues I can find. other than the usual wear and tear

TEST RIDE DETAILS:

All good. Nothing at all to report. rides well and goes fine. and feels like a 18k bike should. Bit rough at idle but they all are without a cylinder balance.

CONCLUSIONS:

A good example of the RS. with a few less miles than you might expect. Needs a good service and detail clean. but really not a bad one.

I am located in the south west. close to the A303. the M3 and about an hour from Bath. Bristol and Southampton. 2 hours/90 miles from London.

I am also convenient for a mainline railway station with direct services from London Waterloo and I would be happy to collect you from the local railway station if you wish to travel here by train and then ride the bike home.

I am happy to discuss delivery if this helps - for a fee - as I have a pick up truck or to advise on collection services.

I am selling this bike as a TRADER and I do this as my full-time occupation. with 20+ years experience in the trade.

The bike IS NOT registered to me but will be on a dealer S. O. R. N. Most of my stock is purchased directly from official dealers. so the bikes have been checked by the dealer as well as myself. I will always ride and check the machines myself before sale. and they are fully able to be ridden home. unless otherwise noted in the ad. It may not have any tax . but there is a Post Office a few minutes from the house if you need/want to tax it. I have a very fine professional mechanic friend who does work for me. so anything done on the bikes is by an expert.
