2003 BMW R1150GS R 1150 GS Decent late bike with high specification, OK miles.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Not a bad example of a late 1150. The ever popular GS is getting a bit harder to find now. and this one is a fair example. Not the cleanest and needing a service. it is never the less a nice loaded bike which rides very well and has a sensible mileage.

BASIC DETAILS:

Documents: All papers and documents. some service bills

Keys: 2 metal. 1 alarm

Books and manuals: Service book and handbook. stamped with work done

SPECIFICATION AND EXTRAS:

ABS. Heated grips. Data tool alarm(working). BMW system panniers. BMW top case. Adventure wind shield and mounts. hand guards. white lenses.

SERVICE HISTORY:

OK. nothing much recent I can find. BMW to 24k. but no record of a 30k as you might expect on a part exchange.  Probably due this now to be safe.

FAULTS AND ISSUES:

Mechanically very good. rides very well with no major issues. bit rough at tick over as needs a balance. as they often do.

Some of the usual corrosion on the forks. nbsp;fasteners and engine. but not too bad. The wheels are really very good and surprisingly nice. Please see pictures.

Front discs are a bit worn but well in tolerance. the front tyre is due soon. but I would put a new pair on.

Light drop both sides for heads and panniers. and a slight scuff on the front beak where it has run into something.

TEST RIDE DETAILS:

Nothing really to report. rides well for the age and miles. and with it needing a service.

CONCLUSIONS:

Not a bad old thing really. and a nice honest and genuine bike.

The 1150 GS really is a nice bike. and still one of BMW's best. This is not a bad bike. and will be nicer with a few bits done and a detail clean!

I am located in the south west. close to the A303. the M3 and about an hour from Bath. Bristol and Southampton. 2 hours/90 miles from London.

I am also convenient for a mainline railway station with direct services from London Waterloo and I would be happy to collect you from the local railway station if you wish to travel here by train and then ride the bike home.

I am happy to discuss delivery if this helps - for a fee - as I have a pick up truck or to advise on collection services.

Delivery in the UK is ??130 England or Wales. a bit more to Scotland.

I am selling this bike as a TRADER and I do this as my full-time occupation. with 20+ years experience in the trade.

The bike IS NOT registered to me but will be on a dealer S. O. R. N. Most of my stock is purchased directly from official dealers. so the bikes have been checked by the dealer as well as myself. I will always ride and check the machines myself before sale. and they are fully able to be ridden home. unless otherwise noted in the ad. It may not have any tax . but there is a Post Office a few minutes from the house if you need/want to tax it. I have a very fine professional mechanic friend who does work for me. so anything done on the bikes is by an expert.
