BMW R1100R ABS. Panniers and extras 50k New MOT Some History.

2000 "W" BMW R1100R in Blue with new MOT .  Great Cruiser/Tourer with BMW panniers. Screen. heated Grips. hand guards and crash bars. Has ABS which is a real bonus for this weather. Starts. Stops. rides very well. Very comfortable. as you might expect for a BMW. Few marks on the panniers but sound. Bodywork/paint in good condition for age. Few salt corrosion marks on the ally parts but nothing you wouldn't expect for a 14yr old bike.  Some history and old MOT'sHad a new heavy duty clutch fitted in 2011 by previous owner (bill to prove). Not sure of mileage then but should last for ages. Bought this to ride down to France and visit my daughter. but never quite got round to it. Sure it would have coped just fine though. Feels very solid and stable on the road. Known Faults. I had to fit a fork seal for MOT but easy job on a Beemer. All sorted now. (Check out youtube and oil seal isn't strictly part of suspension system any way). Stanchions are good. Other side seems good. Rear tyre is a bit "square" Previous owner was an older gentleman who presumably didn't lean too much round corners. Legal but could do with replacing really (unless you're going in straight lines). Good bits. Starts. stops and does everything exactly as you would expect from a BMW.  Any questions. don't hesitate to ask. Cash on collection ONLY. Definitely NO Paypal.

I've been asked and I have no problem if you want to arrange collection by a courier so long as funds are cleared in full before the bike is collected. Just to make it clear for everyone. as I've been asked several times now. NO BUY IT NOW. Auction will run. One other thing. There is no outstanding finance on the bike. I paid cash in full for it. Log book is in my name. I'm NOT a dealer.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONJust looked at the MOT and feel I really ought to mention the advisories. (I hadn't really noticed. sorry). They are. 1. Front tyre worn close to legal limit. 2. Rear tyre worn close to legal limit. 3. Front/rear brake pipe slightly corroded. 4. Play in driveshaft bearing. 5 Slight bind in rear brake. 6. Front rear brake pads slightly corroded. beware of pad separating from backing. Taking this in to consideration if any current bidders want to cancel their bids I fully understand. From this date onwards though I'm accepting people will take the above in to consideration. I've checked the bike over myself and the brake pipe/pads thing are the tester being VERY cautious in my opinion. As for the binding rear brake. The bike had been stood for some time and it does seem to have freed off. Regards the driveshaft bearing. Can't feel anything myself but it's on the sheet so I want to be honest about it.

Just to confirm. as I have been asked. Both panniers are there (though only one is shown in the pictures). They are genuine BMW and lockable.
