BMW R100 RS 1980 - X - REG - 55,000 km. SPARES OR REBUILD

I HAVE SEVERAL AUCTIONS RUNNING FOR BMW R100 RS PARTS - ALL ENDING ON SUNDAY 23RD NOVEMBER. FIRST ONE  ENDS AT APPROX 7PM

I ran this for about 18 months before laying it up. Now it needs to be sold.   Earlier this week I connected a battery. oiled the bores. put fuel in the carbs and it started straight away. Clutch is not stuck and the gears engage. The bike was first registered in Belgium hence km. I have a UK frame for sale on another auction.

The seat. side panels and rack are not the best. but there are very good ones on the other auctions as well as an excellent tank and a spare fairing!  Ideally it needs a respray. Mechanically and electrically everything worked fine. If you want to rebuild the carbs there is a full Motorworks rebuild kit. diaphragms. seals. o rings. nbsp;needles and throttle cables on one of the other auctions.

I had also intended to fit the forks. yokes. wheel and brakes from a K100. hence the forks are removed. There are lots of articles on the web about this mod. The improvements being. 18 inch front wheel so more tyre choice. bigger discs. bigger diameter stanchions and a very hefty fork brace. The K100 forks etc are for sale on one of the other auctions.
