1991 BMW R100 GS Bumblebee R100GS Enduro World Travler 85,000 Dual Sport

As you rumble by. the men who are walking with their arms wrapped around their girlfriend's waists. nbsp;wrench their neck around. envious of the elegant. German monster that you have under your control.   A monster that is at your bidding. willing to take you anywhere. Where is that guy going? What am I doing with my life? 

For Sale my 1991 BMW R100GS.   I am parting ways with my prized possession. nbsp;my dream motorcycle. nbsp;because a new chapter has opened in my life; a beautiful baby boy. a new house. nbsp;a new wife. even a new job. nbsp; I drive a Prius!  

Bike is currently named. "La Abeja II" but I suppose the naming rights go to the new owner.  80. 00 miles approximately-- Odometer stopped working about three weeks after I bought the elegant beast. Reads 75. 00 about on odometer and I bought the bike in 2012.  It was due to a heavy rain in a Baja winter storm. Rebuild or let it be! Speedometer works but is sticky in the cold---   

I am leaving the bike in a fair state.   She is running but will need the normal maintenances done before heading through the Darien Gap or any long trip (plugs. oil change. .   She is leaking a little oil from what I believe is the pushrods (quite a frequent spot for these bikes. nbsp;as I understand). Tires are ok. nbsp;but it would behoove the new owner to put new tires on.     Starts a little rough in the cold but after she wams ups ---she is easy to start.

    The exhaust has quite a bit of rust on it but comes ready with a special  tool to take it off to either grind or sand blast them to a shiner condition.   A  couple of new exhaust clamps come with the bike---because that was my plan.  

Two BMW OEM side cases come with the bike.  Both have small cracks that can and should be repaired.   New Seat cover on the seat but the foam inside could use a little sprucing up.  The seat cover has been put on but could use a few rivets or strong thumbtacks

I have a lot of the records--- up to when I bought the bike ---I believe. I am the third owner. The records indicate the drive shaft had major work around when the bike had 45. 00 ---I had my driveshaft lubricated  a little after a when I purchased within the last 6. 00 miles.  The one thing I wish I had down was buy a new gasket for the drive shaft to put on when the drive shaft was split instead of using the old one. nbsp;just aesthetically it would have been nicer.   

Bike comes with cover and various books. tool kit missing a few tools. owners manual. bing carb book. exahust tool. stock bash plates . mounting hardware. various things you see on the table that will be very useful----GOOD deal here---
