1984 BMW R65 RS 1984 in excellent condition with low mileage

 This BMW R65RS has was bought by my neighbour from Motorworks a couple of years ago when it was already a good. solid. low mileage bike. However since then he has completely overhauled the bike spending nearly ?2000 in addition to the original purchase price. Mostly this was to bring the bike up to excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. He then rode it for a summer season before buying a BMW K75 which is when I bought it from him. I have receipts for all the parts used. The work as been undertaken to a high standard. I fitted heated grips with the intention of using as a winter bike as I have a number of old BMWs which I wont take out in the salt. In  reality it is probably too good for this but anyway I have now sustained a back injury which is going to keep me off bikes for a while. So its up for sale to fund a new project to occupy me while I recover. Examples of the work include: both wheels being professionally refurbished; full Motorworks stainless steel kit; cast iron discs and new pads (I have the originals if required); Goodridge brake lines. new Gel battery; new cables; carb overhaul. professionally resprayed tank. side panels and fairing. new rear tyre (front one good). new BMW badges etc. Of course the bike has been fully serviced with all associated oils. filters and gaskets replaced.
