2002 BMW R1150RT Fantastic late bike! Loaded and VERY low miles Getting rare now

Large pictures are below the text. The bike will be as I got it or washed by myself before the pictures. but has had no other detail cleaning.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

A very rare bike now. an 1150 RT with low miles. It has even had the ABS unit replaced. Not quite as nice as you might hope for the miles as it has been used and left. but really only needs some detail work and a set of fasteners.

Full specification with every factory option and a decent GIVI top case.

It comes from the coast which I have found in the past does cause a few issues with the finish.

MASSIVE history file with the bike. no expense spared on servicing.

SPECIFICATION AND EXTRAS:

ABS. Heated grips. BMW Garmin Sat Nav. Radio. Cylinder head protectors. Large GIVI top case. pillion back rest. 2 screens.

SERVICE HISTORY:

Massive! Loads of BMW dealer bills for service work.

Last service was an annual/12k at 11300 miles in February 2014. I would run it to 18k now I think.

In 2013 the bike had a new ABS unit as part of the service at a cost of ?2600! So all OK for a while now.  

FAULTS AND ISSUES:

All cosmetics really. Bike has got a few bits of corrosion and a few marks. All the fasteners are poor. there is some corrosion on the exhaust and the fins.

That's living at the sea side for you! I have had bikes from Brighton. etc before and they do seem to suffer. Some detail cleaning and some stainless will make a big difference.

I have already painted the forks as they really let the bike down. so that's one thing not needed. Please see the pictures.

There is some marking to the "dash" but that is difficult to fix as it is fuel spray from the filler which always marks the plastic.

TEST RIDE DETAILS:

Great! Rides like a 12 k bike! Nothing at all wrong. needs a few miles on it and a "carb" balance. but then they all do at this age.

No issues at all. a lovely ride and a reminder if how good the 1150 is.

CONCLUSIONS:

A very nice bike. Not 100% on the cosmetics. and one of the more "interesting" colours. but at the end of the day a 12000 mile RT with loads spend and with every extra you could want!

I am located in the south west. close to the A303. the M3 and about an hour from Bath. Bristol and Southampton. Two hours' drive/90 miles from London.

I am also convenient for a mainline railway station with direct services from London Waterloo and I would be happy to collect you from the local railway station if you wish to travel here by train and then ride the bike home.

I am happy to discuss delivery (for a fee) if this helps. as I have a pick up truck. or to advise on collection services.

I am selling this bike as a TRADER and I do this as my full-time occupation. with 30+ years experience in the trade.

The bike IS NOT registered to me but will be on a dealer S. O. R. N. Most of my stock is purchased directly from official dealers. so the bikes have been checked by the dealer as well as myself. I will always ride and check the machines myself before sale. and they are fully able to be ridden home. unless otherwise noted in the ad. It may not have any tax . but there is a Post Office a few minutes from the house if you need/want to tax it. I have a very fine professional mechanic friend who does work for me. so anything done on the bikes is done by an expert.
