BSA 500cc - M33 - 1949 - OHV - Single

1949 BSA M33 500cc -- Rigid frame/Tele forks. A really great old motorbike. starts easily - cold or warm. no smoke. ticks over beautifully. sounds really nice mechanically and a nice bark to the exhaust when you openthe throttle sharply. Good tyres. Avon Speedmaster on front - v/good. and a Mitas on the rear - new. Rims are OK. nbsp; chrome not perfect but they still look fine. Just checked the bike over for starting etc. all gears engage well. brakes feel good. clutch engages nicely. all electrics are working except the headlight for some reason - the horn. brake lightrear light. even the speedo illumination. all working fine so it may be the bulb - I'll have a look. Very good oil return. Side and rear stands. and it's easy to pull on to the rear stand too. Battery is good and the generator is giving a good charge. Chronometric speedometer. Exhaust pipe and silencer are in good condition. The paint on the tank could do with a good "cut" and polish. A nice old bike and that 500cc engine gives it plenty of "go".
