Description

This D7 was originally converted to a trail bike in the late 1970's. the mods include: Tiger Cub forks. folding footrests. high level exhaust system ( from a DT175). kicked up rear sub-frame. longer front brake arm and appears to have a wider swinging arm ( a 3. 50 tyre fits in easily)

I bought the bike as a non-runner project and did the following work ; rebuilt engine with new seals ( the bore was in good condition with no obvious wear). fitted a Rex Caunt electronic ignition and 12v direct lighting system. Mikuni VM 26 carb ( jetted by Rex Caunt ). new single seat. new 350-18 rear tyre. new rear brake shoes. new mudguards. front and rear lights. repaired some of the wiring.

The bike starts easily and ticks over with good 12v lighting. I have not run the bike on the road but the gears select cleanly. Cosmetically  the bike is clean and tidy. there are some chips to the paint and shallow pitting to the chrome rims and handlebars but these are all solid. The pictures give a fair indication of the cosmetic condition of the bike.
