Classic 1955 Bantam in Mist Green
Left the factory on 5th January 1955 according to BSA Club Dating Officer
Frame no BD2S39829. engine No DD1729
Remarkably 60 years later the original frame & engine are still together.
Engine runs and ticks over. Lights working.
Partially restored - just needs completing. A straightforward Spring project.
Already fitted with good quality new handlebars. clutch & brake levers. rear light. points & condenser. HT coil and lead. Renolds rear chain.
With the bike is a large quantity of useful. sought after. BSA Bantam spares.
Please see photos. Of note are 2 engine casings. engine numbers 29596YD and BD21055.
The bike is currently taxed and has an MOT until December 2015 which was required by DVLA for registration purposes. The registration mark is non-transferable.
According to the V5C. in my name. declared manufactured in 1955 and first registered 15-2-1982.
It should therefore be MOT exempt.
A Haynes manual and a copy of the BSA spares catalogue for D1 & D3 models 1954-1956 are included.
