Description

You are bidding on a 1971 BSA Victor Trail 250. I have had it for 3 years. It’s a lot of fun but I have too many motorcycles now and need to thin the herd a bit. It’s in very nice condition. It is currently registered and insured and can be taken for a test-drive if you are in the area. Connecticut does not require a title for motorcycles over 25 years old. There are no liens on the vehicle and it can be titled if you wish. The previous owner said it was part of a collection. The frame and motor numbers match. The gauges work. It has the tachometer kit installed. The clock shows 2300 miles. I’m not going to stake my reputation on that mileage because it’s 44 years old and two other owners that I know of. It starts up and runs very well and does not burn oil. The clutch and brakes work good. The transmission shifts smoothly. Drives nice. I’ve put a couple hundred miles on it. All switches and electrical systems work. The wiring harness is original and not cut anywhere. I have a battery eliminating capacitor installed. You can install a battery easily if you like. The chrome plating is in very good condition. The fork is in good shape. No tears in the seat. The tank. fenders and side covers have been repainted. They match the original color and appearance as closely as possible. Reproduction decals were applied. The paint is clear-coated to keep it good. No dents. filler. sealer or leaks in the aluminum fuel tank. The paint on the frame is the original dove gray. There is light rust in a few areas on the frame. There are no dents. cracks or filler on the frame. 99% original screws and fasteners are in good condition. I added the mirror for road use. I don’t think they came with one. New universal tires are installed for safety. The original Dunlop Trials tires are dry and cracked but are still here if you want them. The original tool kit was missing but I did assemble a tool kit to have something in there just in case. I will also include the original owners and spare parts manuals. The Oil-In-Frame Victors are becoming more popular. Given the unfavorable exchange rate British parts are expensive. Buying a basket case makes no sense unless you really need a project to do. This is a complete motorcycle in good running condition. not a project. Jump on. and go to the next British motorcycle. antique. vintage moto or trials meet or find a nice trail and go for a ride. Local pickup only. Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping arrangements and costs. I have this motorcycle advertised locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time if the reserve price has not been met.
