Description

BSA Lightning Rocket 650cc is a rare one year production motorcycle. It is a higher performance 650cc designed to compete with the Japanese Models flooding the US. This is an older restoration purchased from a legend in the British Motorcycle Circles in the Southeastern US. Conard Schultz was the owner and 60 plus years working and building British Motorcycles. He is the previous owner though the title was left open. The origins of the motorcycle was Memphis Tennessee. Conard did the restoration and held the motorcycle for decades until I purchased it to add to my small group of bikes. Reason for selling is simple. win Boys in college is taking its toll on my hobby collection. This motorcycle was tuned by Conard. it has a new sealed 12 volt battery and is a first class bike. It has very good chrome WITHOUT Dog PEE marks on the Dunlop rims. Every collector knows what I mean by that! The tires are Dunlop and have age checking. not bad but they will need replacement if riding other than around at a swap meet or show. Other than the age on the tires the motorcycle needs nothing. It runs good. with new Amal Monoblocs that were installed by Conard Shultz. You can check out the Frame and Engine numbers with " British Spares" you will find those numbers fall in the production numbers for the RARE Lightning Rocket Model. If you want to argue that. save it. I have thoroughly researched the Frame and Engine Numbers. I will not respond to knit picking comments. This a beautiful motorcycle and has correct sheet metal. the petcocks and the instruments work and are the newer versions. yes I know that they are not what came on the motorcycle in 1964. Other than those minor details this is a very correct beautiful example out of Birmingham Small Arms.
