1968 GREEVES ANGLIAN with V5C

Here is a rare opportunity to own a late 1960‘s Greeves.

This Anglian model is in excellent all round general condition. It is in good running order. it sounds very loud and goes really well! It’s an easy starter and sounds great both mechanically an on the awesome exhaust note!

The bike is not extremely low geared. it would be rideable on the road between sections. It is  currently MOT’d but may need some bits and bobs to make road legal. for example a “bobby-dodging” speedometer.

Gears and clutch are all good. brakes are good. I get the impression this bike has had little use. The bike was rebuilt to a high standard in 2005 having been successfully campaigned in Greeves Riders’ Association. VMCC & BMCA Trials as well as at The British Bike Bonanza.

It starts and runs very well on Villiers “Nametab” electronic ignition.

The bike comes with V5C document. registration WGU 587F. frame number 24. TJSB286. engine number 406A-26355.

There is an MOT until February 2016. Road tax is (free) Historic Class.

Cosmetically the bike is extremely nice for a trials machine. I suspect it has not been used in anger since 2005 restoration.

The petrol tank was completely dry when I got the bike so I protected the tank from modern  fuel with an ethanol resistant liner. Unfortunately I managed to mark the tank slightly with the liner which is like super-glue!

The frame has a very solid Hammerite effect silver finish. The brightwork is generally very tidy. The wheel rims are beautiful flangeless alloys with rustless type spokes and nice clean nipples.

Tyres are as new Pirellis MT43s. 2. 75x21 front. 4. 00 x 18 rear.

Seat is very good. exhaust is tidy.

This is a superb looking late Greeves. quite a rarity and a superb fun addition to any collection of classics!
