TRIUMPH MRD “RICKMANN” METISSE 500CC

Here is a super example of the iconic “Metisse” scrambler with Triumph 500cc motor.

This bike starts well on Pazon competition  ignition system. The engine sounds superb. is mechanically quiet and doesn’t smoke!

It rides really well . good brakes. good gears & clutch etc.

Frame number MRD 791. engine number 5TA H9672. There are no docs with the bike but there is a V5 for a 1967 Triumph (E-reg) 500cc but the frame number doesn’t match!

Cosmetically the bike is well above average for a comp machine!

The nickel plate on the frame is all very good . The paintwork is all nice . the front mudguard has chipped a bit around its mounting points.

Wheel rims are beautiful flangeless alloys. Spokes are clean & tidy “rustless” type. Front tyre is Metzler 21x3. 00. rear is 4. 00 x 18 as new. There is a broken top fin on the nearside of the cylinder head.

Don’t miss this awesome looking & sounding classic scrambler. It has the potential to be made into a  road legal green-laner without too much trouble.
