1969 BSA 441 Victor Enduro Frame no. BC11736B44VS Engine no. BC11736B44VS As the follow-on to BSA's legendary Gold Star thumper. the 441 Victor had big shoes to fill. Tough act. especially at a time when the market included four Japanese competitors that were pumping out increasingly improving products. something the Goldie never had to contend with. But the 441 did well as a dual-purpose model in America. In 1966 the Victor Enduro joined the world-beating Victor Grand Prix moto-crosser in BSA's extensive range of off-road models. Displacing 441cc. the Victor's power unit was developed directly from the works 420cc moto-cross engine. itself a distant cousin of the first of the line that had debuted in the humble C15 250 roadster back in 1958. . The California black license plate machine here is offered in good riding condition. A matching numbers example from February 1969. it has just been serviced by local marque experts. Glory Motorworks. including valve adjustment. It starts easily and sounds taut. It shifts well through the gears with a good clutch. Other attention was given to carburetion. brakes. suspension and the electrical system and all work well. The bike has a pretty new battery. . Not perfect. but a presentable bike with a very attractive non-standard paint scheme. There are scratches and scuffs. though nothing too bad. The bike is accompanied by a clean. clear California title and is an absolute blast to ride.
