The old victor goes up for auction. In my possession for at least the last 15 years. Engine and frame numbers are matching.. Updated the ignition with Boyer electronic mighty max tympanium kuryakyn LED battery gauge. ( monitors dynamo output ). Still running the battery even though I'm using the mighty max.. It all works fine and well tuned and in sync! I was using it as my daily rider last season without issue. I was running her at top speeds of around 70 on local highways... Maybe flirted with 80 mph at some point. The speedometer works well but is not accurate ( surprise!) ... I loved burning up the streets with this obnoxious little scamp! The muffler is a period correct old cocktail shaker that is minimally baffled and rips a note like a distant pile driver penetrating the earth! ( maybe a bit dramatic) it runs strong smooth and starts right up Everytime! The paint is pretty well done by an ambitious amateur who could use some work on his pin striping skills.... ( me ) but it's a very presentable base/clear that was done years ago and still looks pretty dang good.. The bike is likely not all original parts probably not all correct in every way... But correct in many ways. Most importantly this: Clean transferable NY state Registration in MY name.. Matching frame and engine. Updated to reliably get you there..... And back.. Newer tires NOS 928 Amal newer seat cover newer drive chain maintained with open check book loved and treated well. If you know anything about these bikes you know what's important when it comes to actually riding these old thumpers.. She ain't no trailer queen.. She may be seen pulling a trailer! but certainly not stuck on one going around showing off her clean and correct nuts! (And bolts) ?... Now the bad... Near the end of last season I was struggling with the throttle slide getting gummed up in the carb.. Actually hanging up while opened up and riding in some cases.. Not good! Especially while navigating the I 90 or the 400... I would tear the Amal down clean it up and it would slide perfect for a while.. Then get sticky again .. I was perplexed. It was running fine without so much as a backfire... Then one morning I came out to find her leaking petrol from somewhere.. A lot of petrol! A little investigation quickly revealed that the fiberglass tank was losing her seal around the seams! Yes... The modern Ethanol Blended Fuels got me.!!.. I put the remaining fuel into a plastic jug and observed a heavy cloud of pink goo swirling about the bottom of the jug... The breakdown of the glass resin was contaminating the fuel and getting the carb slide gummy and sticky. That's where we're at now. I don't want to buy a new tank.. I had my fun with her.. Now it's someone else's turn. I'm basing her value on the last few victors I've seen actually get sold and the time money and lovin I put into this one. Still a lower reserve than the last one that sold with no papers and no history.. I'm inviting inspections of the bike and calls to discuss further details. I will work with the buyer in any way necessary to help you get it shipped but I have no shipping companies to refer you to... So if you have questions about getting the bike to you... I can only suggest googling it. I'm in the 14206 zip code in Buffalo New York and right off the Interstate 90. If you need additional pics more info advice... Feel free to ask.. Thanks I'm sure I'll update when I realize I have forgotten some pertinent details... I have some pics of her with cafe bars... She no longer has them on her that was a very temporary phase...
