Up for bid is my original 1961 BSA Super Rocket! A rare motorcycle, his bike has undergone an extensive ground up restoration performedlargely by Competition Cycles in Stratford CT. They (Jon Rodi) is available to answer any questions on the bike as well. It fires right up and is VERY reliable. The bike's paint is original (Princess Gray) and has had the following performed:
- Full engine rebuild- Carb Rebuild- New correct tires- All aluminum polished- All new electrical throughout bike- New battery- Original Paint in good condition- New correct seat and foam- New bulbs- New grips and rubber throughout bike- Original emergency air pump- New throttle / brake cables- Fully doc'ed restoration- Matching numbers- Fresh plugs, ires, uel filters, tc- New emblems and polished chrome- All new shocks and suspension throughout bike
This bike also comes with the original owner's manual, nd plenty of swag (Haynes motor manual, tc). Another curious aspect of this bike is the chrome plate on the rear fender. The engraving is faded but you can make out "Her Majesty's Motor Service" and some other wording Ican't make out. I am unsure of what this plaque means, ut it is OLD. The motorcycle is available to be viewed in North Haven CT at "S&M Custom Cycles". For questions, eel free to email me at ryan.polizzo@pw.utc.com or contact me via phone at 203 200 8821. I reserve the right to end the auction early should the bike sell locally. I have approximately 16K invested into this bike. My reserve is lower than this. Good luck and I hope you enjoy the photos.
