1970 BSA Thunderbolt Lightning British Twin 650

What we have here is a very original 1970 BSA Thunderbolt. The experts will tell you that 1970 Thunderbolts came in one color, lack. I've been around motorcycles for 45 years and this bike looks to have original paint on it. ( they are only original paint once ) That's a discussion for another day. This bike came out of a private collection in Mass. it sat around for several years, he guy I bought it from never got it running. When I pulled the left side cover I found a cut off switch that a previous owner installed. Flushed the fuel & oil tanks, uel tank is clean, ebuilt the carb, nd it started on the first kick !!! Rebuilt the forks, nd put NOS gators on. I have original parts and service manuals from the selling dealer in Norfolk, a. original tool kit is also included. Bike starts right up, oes down the road nice, verything works as it should, witches, ights, ack, amp; Speedo. Even has original mufflers, eft side has some battery acid stains. I just received a nice email from a gentleman that worked for GHOST M/C in NY in the late 60's - early 70's and he assured me that they could get them in black, lue, nd red.

The 1970 brochure showed a black one, ut you could get those other colors !! Ty
