Offered here is a 1966 BSA B44 VICTOR 441cc ROUND BARREL FLAT TRACK or MOTOCROSS RACE PROJECT, ot currently running but VERY COMPLETE and ready for RESTORATION or PREP FOR VINTAGE RACING! Matching frame & engine number B44E 1882, aking this a first-year round barrel 441 Victor. TONS of potential here, ust a little bit of wrench time needed to get this bike running again and back on the track, r it wouldn't take much more effort to get it street legal and build a cool little canyon-carver or cafe racer... Previous owner removed the auto-advance & points, erhaps planning to install an electronic ignition before the project ran out of steam? Other than the missing ignition timing parts, he engine is ALL THERE and in EXCELLENT cosmetic & mechanical condition - NO bent or broken fins, O cracks or nasty gouges, O weld repairs, he crankcases do not look like they have ever been apart. It kicks over smoothly and compression jumps right up to a very healthy 150 lbs, nspite of the fact that it was stored for many years by the previous owner! I can tell that it had been run at some point before being stored, nd I'm 99.9% certain all you'd need to do is either go back to the original Lucas auto-advance & points set up, r upgrade to a Boyer or other electronic ignition and this engine will fire up and be ready to rock and roll... The clutch engages & disengages properly, ransmission shifts smoothly through the gears, riginal 389/97 Amal Monobloc carb is clean and in good condition. Nice factory exhaust pipe, ftermarket muffler loosely bolted in place, 4-tooth off-road sprocket looks near-new with no visible wear on teeth.
The frame is straight and (as far as I can tell) all lugs, abs & brackets are still there, actory folding footpegs & central oil tank, lloy handlebars, irling shocks, riginal BSA front forks work OK (at least as well as can be expected for factory BSA forks!), liders & triple clamps painted black by Previous Owner, long with the Jones rims, pokes & hubs, s you can see in the photos. Original front wheel with half-width 7" brake, o brake cable, orrect early B44 full-width rear hub with working brake. Nice original B44 2-gallon alloy tank, oes have a couple small dings but it's super clean inside and has the big GP-style Monza filler cap. The Trackmaster/XR-750 style seat and tail section has a couple small scrapes & nicks in the surface of the fiberglass, ut is otherwise in very good condition and definitely looks great! Has brand new Cheng Shing street legal knobbies front & rear...
All in all, his bike would make an EXCELLENT B44 dirt track or motocross racer, r turn it into an awesome little cafe bike - the vintage look of the round barrel 441 engine is hard to beat! Sold with BILL OF SALE only!
