Up for your consideration is one1967 Husqvarna 250!!!!I'm going to tell you a factual story and at the end of this, t is up to you, /p>the public to make a decision if this is what you want, an handle,and revive.How many 1967 Husqvarnas do you think were brought intothis great country during theSixties?A couple thousand? Not hardly, aybe a couple hundred.because between the CZ's, ultaco's, nd Greeves and Husqvarnas,most of the off road bikes that were out there were Matchless, js, any Triumphs &BSA's.But people like Edison Dye saw what was to become a movement here in themotorcycle culture of off road, nd two strokes were going to takeover by storm.They were light weight, ir cooled, nd really quick on the throttle response.
The European motorcycle industry was going to make a huge dent in off road,and were here to stay.
This Husqvarna is a simple example of the early days of Dirtbike Riding!When real men only needed 4 to 7 inchs of travel.Now about this Husky, es it is in need of a complete restoration.It does have compression, t is not seized.It has the early front 19 inch wheel.It has the English 4.00X19 Dunlop tire,the bottom part is flat, ut the top is holding air.It has the Bing Carb with the sidebowl.I had the seat redone with new foam and upholsteryjust like when I used to race District 37 in the early 70's.It has no spark. It has points, nd the coil is behind the ignition.I have narrowed it down to a loose spark plug wire off the coil.The Coil is internal It is a 4 speed, ight hand shift, ith a bolt together frame.It is the original gas tank.AND is incredibly clean inside!It has the Magura trap door throttle.It has the original real aluminum fender and inner fender(1 piece fender I think)I made the front fender out of aircraft quality fiberglass and made a mold myself from a old circle industries fender.It does need another exhaust pipe, ou can see daylight through this one.(It has some rust issues)
In looking around, have only seen 2 other Early Husqvarnas this year,One was built by Mark Alcorn and was a beautiful display of restoration, drooled over the bike, hey had to keep a towel to wipe up all the slobber coming from people. That was up at the CZ World Championships in Marysville this year, nd the other one I found was up in Washington, nd both I would guess were worth upwards of $10k (now I know this is no $10,000 motorcycles, ets be real).
I have displayed this bike at a few events in its present condition,and it is ALWAYS well received. I wish I could keep it, ut haveother projects to deal with. There is no title, it's so old) but I will furnish a Bill of SaleAnd I want to keep the front number plate, t belongs to one of my CZ'sI still race vintage Motocross, ven though I am getting up in the years, /p>I have CZ's, ultaco's, usqvarna, nd a bunch of 70's YZ'sAsk any questions that you need answered, /p>the reserve is a reasonably fare price,not astronomical like some of the bikes I have looked at
