Description

BSA Fleetstar 250cc B25 This is a softly tuned version of the B25 Starfire widely used by Police forces (UK and abroad) and utility companies.

I have only owned this lovely little bike a few months but long enough for me to fall in love with classic bikes again and I am now looking for a 650 twin or similar

I bought this bike locally and with it came a little of its history. There is a BSA owners club certificate showing that it was originally owned by the Welsh Water Board and was used by the water balliffs

The paintwork appears to be original albeit touched up in places and there are a few stone chips here and there. ? The chrome work is by no means immaculate but unless you want to bring it to "Showroom Condition" it is perfectly servicable.

The limited service history contains around ten years worth of MOT's and an invoice dated 16/05/12 for work carried out showing that the tank was removed. cleaned and sealed. oil tank removed and cleaned. serviced as required (I have since changed the oil) Carb removed and cleaned and the fitting of indicators. switch and warning lights.

As the Fleetstar was used by Police and utility companies. a larger than standard alternator was supplied to allow for Radio and additional equipment also. the Triumph style grid on the the fuel tank is a nice and useful touch

I went out on this bike riding with my brother (350cc AJS) a couple of weeks ago and we completed a round trip of 75 miles with no issues and an absolute minimum of oil leaks !

Please feel free to ask questions and I will do my best to answer you but it will be in the evening when I get home and you can call me on 07950 877625 (Andy) but Please bear in mind that I am working in area of poor mobile reception for a couple of weeks but worth trying.

The V5 is in my name and the MOT is valid until June 2015 (Tax is free of course). The bike is located in Cannock. Staffs approx 5 miles from Jct 11 or 12 M6.

I will be advertising the bike elsewhere including with the BSAOC so it may be removed before the end of the listing. so if you are genuinely interested. don't leave it too late !

Thank you for viewing and Please see my other items for sale

I have just been informed that the engine is NOT the original but from a 1970 model (price reduced accordingly) . I apologise for my ignorance of that fact and thank Steven for bringing it to my attention
