We have the real deal here: an unrestored. yes look at the pictures it is an unrestored. and incredibly undamaged. plus rust and corrosion free 1961 BSA 500 Gold Star Catalina Scrambler. Frame # CB32C673. Engine # DBD34GS6023

This was the race bike to have in the 50?ˆ™s and 60?ˆ™s. The factory number plate and no lighting equipment gives away it purpose. Whether running Scrambles. TT?ˆ™s or Desert Racing. this BSA model was competitive and won races in all of them. Almost all were destroyed in the desert and on tours through the woods. This remains in incredibly great original and unrestored. Original chrome and blue paint tank is undamaged. Even the tiny gold pin stripe is still mostly there. Retains the cool and original Catalina Scrambler decal on tank that commemorates the 1956 win at Catalina Island and was the reason this model exists. Engine is 500cc with large fin alloy barrel and compression release. Light as they could make it for the era. Near open pipe with peashooter baffle. Cool looking chrome pipes. tank side. and airbox as the factory supplied. Alloy oil tank and chrome fenders. All stock and original to this bike. This is definition of survivor. original. all over. No rounded off. pliers damaged. torn up anything. Was somehow kept in this condition not restored. Fitted with 19 inch wheels front and rear. Pirelli tires from before DOT numbers.

This is Steve McQueen era stuff. all torque and manly. Looks mean and ready to go on the center stand. You will look like McQueen when you sit on it. Oh of course not really. but we can dream can?ˆ™t we?

We obtained this from a 91 year old guys collection in Washougal. Washington as couple years ago and it went into a California collection. It is now available again and has a clear California title using engine number as ID.
