1970 BSA 650 Lightning

This is a 1970 BSA lightning 650. It is being sold as is for a project. I bought the bike to finish and ride bit never got to it. The previous owner said the motor was sent out and rebuild. It has A50 cases with a 650 top end. To my knowledge this is all correct. The cases are stamped A50 and the gaskets all look fairly new. There is an electronic boyer ignition installed. The bike appears to be mostly there. I do know the mufflers are missing and the linkage from the brake pedal to the rear drum. There is plenty of missing hardware. The gas tank. side covers and seat are just resting on the bike for the pictures. I have never run the bike. I am not too familiar with non Japanese bikes and I did not want to risk doing damage to the motor if the timing is not properly set. The motor does turn over. The gauges show almost 19. 00 miles but the title shows 99. 99 odometer discrepancy. I was told when I bought the bike the reason was incorrect mileage written down when titled. The last owner had the bike painted. and it is not a very high quality job. There are some paint chips and runs on the lower edge of the gas tank. I will not make shipping arrangements.
