1971 A65L BSA Lightning 650cc

 This is a very nice example of a 1971 BSA A65L Lightning. It has been repainted and the seat has been recovered. but they are in perfect shape. It was brought to our dealership buy a good friend and a former rep for Tucker Rocky. Machine must have originated in Canada. because instruments are kilometers. We got it running and it runs fine and shifts fine. However. the carb slides want to stick when bike is opened up to full power. This makes riding the machine very dangerous and needs to be addressed. This may mean buying new carburetors or there could be a repair we don't know about. We tried loosing the mounts and we also sanded the slides to no avail. When running in neutral they seem to perform fine probably because of vibrations. By no means should this be ridden before it is repaired! (Fair warning) Other than that if I were a BSA guy I would surely add it to my collection. Bid Away!
