Description

This bike started life as a B31 in 1957 and was used as the basis for a Comp special to compete in various events of the day. It was built using parts from the BSA Workshop and the then Manager Bert Perrigo used to visit has friend Mr Stanley of Astwood Bank who had a premises called Central Garage near  Redditch.  in his black Standard Vanguard he would call and drop the the bits off for the Goldstar upgrade. It was used by his son John Stanley and passed to the previous owner who used it again as a competition bike. It has tremendous compression and you can literally stand on the kickstart. It fired up after cleaning the points and checking the carb which needed cleaning of all the past grime which had accumulated. It runs and sounds good on the Goldie silencer. I believe the engine is a ZB 500 as it has a 9 fin Barrel. It comes with a short open Mega as well. The front headlamp has been removed as it was incomplete but I have since found an original switch and ammeter and am selling it seperately. Obviuosly it has a export Mk2 Spitfire tank fitted but it goes quite well with the bike. Any questions please feel free to ask or to view call 07738 115119.
