Description

1956 Gold Star fitted with a 1958 500cc DBD34 engine. Completely rebuilt cosmetically and mechanically three years ago by Len Haggis done approx 1600 miles since . Standard T gearbox as befits a touring Gold Star. four spring Triumph clutch and MK1 Concentric carburetor for easy starting are fitted . The wheels have alloy rims and the front brake is a genuine fitted 8" Gold Star brake.  The magneto and dynamo where both restored items from Tony Cooper and fitted during the rebuild all electrics are charging and working correctly. Speedo and rev counter working correctly. The machine is of course Historic Tax class (free) and no longer requires an MOT although it should pass one. Paintwork is first class. very slight pitting on fork oil seal holders rest of chrome very good including nice chromed spokes. Most of the fastenings on the machine together with some other items are stainless steel . The machine has a dating letter from the VMCC and the Gold Star Owners Club also it comes with an old green logbook . I have today completed a 110 mile VMCC club run on this machine with no issues at all including starting with no problems hot or cold. This machine is both comfortable and a joy to ride.  I am starting bidding at a realistic £13750 with no reserve .  Any questions or to view via Ebay Email or ring 077731 98878. I would require a deposit of £250 within 24 hours of the auction ending which can be paid via Paypal  balance by mutual agreement.  Free delivery within 35 miles of Gatwick (except within London emission zone) anywhere else UK or abroad can be arranged.
