2000 Buell X1 Lightning- The American Ducati

Incredible acceleration. Takes off like a jet if accelerating above 4000 rpms. Ducati performance at a nominal price. I'm the second owner and have put 1300 miles on it in the past 4 years. I have over 25 motorcycles and I am selling off starting with 3 other motorcycles in the next few weeks. A Honda VT500 Ascot 1974 Suzuki TM400 and a 1971 Husky 360c.Includes a full Vance and Hines exhaust and a off road race ECU (see pictures). This is not a beginner's bike. New Metzler tires front and rear still have casting nipples on them. Excellent overall condition all electrics in working order. The Vance and Hines ECU and Metzlers are well over $1000 in upgrades.The air shrouds on both sides of the motor have been removed and they are in a box with the hardware to reinstall. Don't know why Erik Buell would want to cover up a beautiful Harley motor like this one but I think the bike looks much better without them. If you disagree they can be reinstalled in about a half hour.
