Extremely rare 3SX version of the cult classic SRX-600 Super Single motorcycle. SRXs were imported into the US only in 1986, ut continued to be produced in Japan until the late 1990s. This is the final version with electric start, 7" wheels, ono shock suspension and 38mm forks. Typical SRXs are kick-start only, nd have 18" wheels, ual rear shocks and 36mm forks. This bike was grey market imported from Japan in 1997. Only 2000 3SX models were manufactured, nd sold only in Japan.
This bike was completely rebuilt in 2008. Chassis work included all new bearings, ew FZR brake calipers, ew EBC petal front brake rotor, issin master cylinder, tainless steel brake lines, ew mirrors, uell turn signals, ew custom throttle and choke cables, ace Tech fork emulators, rogressive springs and Ohlins shock.
The motor, dentical to Yamaha's XT-600e, as completely rebuilt also. Work included crank balancing, ll new bearings and seals, otter street Web Cam camshaft, ual EX250 carburetors with K&N filter tuned by Wheelsmith Racing, mm overbore WiseCo piston, ew chain and sprockets, ew petcock and fuel lines, nd Yoshimura "Thumper" belly pan exhaust system.
This bike is mechanically superb but was intentionally left to appear in original condition. The paint is original, nd there is some rust on various fasteners and oil lines. It was rebuilt to be ridden as an everyday urban commuting bike, ot for Concours showing.
Odometer shows 66,544 kilometers, hich converts to 41,348 miles. Approximately 7,000 miles have been put on the bike since the rebuild. Recently work included replacement of the head gasket and petcock, nd installation of a Lithium battery.
