2008 Buell XB1200R motorcycle , look at this before buying any Buell XB

A little Buell talk first:
Best practice when buying an XB series Buell is to try and choose one 2008-2010 for a couple of important reasons.
First is the upgraded engine crankshaft and overall construction of the newer design engine.
Second is the ability the 08-10's have to interact with the engine control module (ECM) with nothing except the dash readout and the ignition key. To perform the often used throttle position sensor (TPS)operation all it takes is to turn the bike on and perform a simple 15 second operation using the throttle. Previous years require at least an interconnect cable and a mobile device.
Not many riders have spent any time around Buells, hey are somewhat rare but, mportantly, arts are very availableand surprisingly inexpensive. A number of the common parts are shared with and stocked by Harley dealers, specially a fewdealers that have a measure of dedication to the Buell and there are a number of Buell parts places in this country and Europe. I have never waited for more than a few days for my parts.

This particular 25th anniversary edition2008 Firebolt is owned by an older enthusiast and appears bone stock while having top shelf maintenance and a few important upgrades.
There is a brand new, ighly regarded, rummer SS exhaust installed and the race ECM wasreprogrammed (by IDS, he builder of Buells race ECM's) to match, recisely, he configuration of the Drummer, he K&N intake filter and the expected minimumoctane fuel(92) to be used.
The rear light has been upgraded to the 2010 rear LEDlight. There has been a new cooling fan installed in the last month as well as a new drive belt, ront sintered brake pads, ew rear pads,engine oil and filter were changed, ransmission oil changed, lutch cable and head set bearings werechecked. In the last 60 days both forward and rear rocker boxes were removed, achined and resealed, here is a new set of NGK plugs, nd a recent AGMbattery.
The bike retains a stock appearance with no lighting changes or rear tail clean up kits, ll the lights and all functions work as new.
This Firebolt is slightly lighter than the advertised dry weight of 389 lbs losing about 7 lbs by eliminating the stock exhaust system and the stock motor/cable driven exhaust valve assembly.
This a sweet running XB, ulls strong at all RPM's, uns smooth and has a sound you have to hear.
This bike has never been dropped and looks about 8/10 on appearance, ome small scratches in various places (hard to see) some drip marks on the oil side of the swing arm that may be ableto be rubbed out if they seem important to you. The seats are in perfect condition and there is a brand new, ust about never used, lack rear seat cowl with it as well as the original drive belt (still usable) and the original cooling fan (still usable).
Stock tool kit is intact and included.
There is a set of Dunlop Sportmax Q2 tires on it now that have about 1500 miles left in them.
There are no issues with this bike, owever, nbsp;thereis no warranty of any type on this motorcycle.
