2008 Buell Firebolt XB12R 25th Anniversary Edition American Sportbike

 Up for auction is my 2008 Buell XB12R Firebolt. The bike is the 25th Anniversary Edition signed by Erik Buell. I'm the second owner of the bike and it's in excellent condition. The original owner had the Buell and Firebolt decals removed at Harley Davidson of Frederick MD where the bike was purchased new by him. The original owner also installed a tinted Buell windscreen. When I picked the bike up it had just received a service and a new battery from the same Harley dealership.

 If you're looking at this listing. you're familiar with the Buell platform.   The frame contains your fuel and the swing arm contains your engine oil for the dry sump system and keeps the weight low in order to facilitate better handling.   The bikes are short and as such motivate well in the turns.   The perimeter braking system up front provides a different feel than a typical dual disk setup. but it's easy to get used to.   There really isn't a way to describe the way the bike delivers power. short of "direct".   When you roll on the power. it's right there.  

The bike has the translucent red rims and the updated ECM and oil cooler released on the 2008 Thundestorm 1203 engine. The torque is spec'd at around 84 ft. lbs and I'd have to say that's pretty accurate. and identical to the Aprilia RSV4 superbike it replaced! The awesome thing about the Buell powerplant is that the torque is absolutely immediate. no waiting to spool up to get to the get up and go.

The tires are Pirelli Diablo's and are in excellent condition as the bike only shows 2786 miles on the clock. I installed a Jardine RT 1 slip on exhaust and a K&N filter and I have to say. it's a blast to ride. I deleted the exhaust valve servo and updated the tune via ECM Spy.   The bike is sharp and comes with the rear seat cowl. Buell tool kit. key code card for the ignition and a set of two keys.

I'll include the original parts as well as the ECM Spy cable that enables you unlimited access to tuning the ECM.

The bike has been garaged and has been waxed after every trip out. The paint is in great shape and the rims really make the bike stand out.
