Up for sale is a Buell Blast street bike. It has a 500cc engine and is good for someone just getting their license or getting back into the sport. This bike was taken as partial trade to settle a debt so I don't know a lot about it. The good: I have driven the bike about one mile to make sure the motor runs and it shifts through the gears. It is either fuel injected or it has a carburetor with an automatic choke. There is no choke lever but it starts right up and goes to fast idle while cold and then idles right down when it warms up. I started the bike and it was running while I took these photos tonight. The battery is good because it was about 28 degrees and it fired right up. The bike is has a pretty good amount of torque for a 500cc single. It shifts through the gears fine. It has belt drive going to the rear wheel so the belt will probably last the life of the bike with normal use. All the lights work. Tires seem decent. The bad: The horn does not work. It will either need a horn or a horn switch. It is a little notch-y going into 1st gear from neutral when cold. I checked the oil and it seems a little dirty so I would recommend a filter and oil change. That should help a bunch. It has a rattle can paint job. Why someone would paint over the factory paint is beyond me. I was told to make is look more cool. Personally I think the paint job looks hideous. Looks good from arms length but up close is looks like crap. The valve cover gasket is weeping so the valve cover either needs to be tightened or it needs a new gasket. The caf? fairing is long gone and the plastic headlight bezel is cracked. The ugly: The paint job. The bike is ugly.
All in all it is a cheap set of wheels if you are just getting your license. The mileage is super low and I have a clear MD State title. I have two keys but no owners manual. If it doesn't sell I will probably just part it out and get more money for it that way. It was tagged up until two weeks ago. The terms: Read over everything and ask all questions BEFORE bidding. Do not assume anything as there will be NO refunds for buyers remorse. impulse bidding. or you not doing your due-diligence. Paypal will only be accepted for a deposit it. The deposit is non-refundable regardless of circumstance. Final balance is due upon pickup of motorcycle. The bike is on here to sell and not for fun or to see what it will bring and then change your mind. When the hammer drops you own it. Make sure you know how to ride. have the money. have a license. have permission from your significant other. etc prior to bidding because all sales are final and there will be no refunds given and there will be no returns. I will hold the bike up to a week unless we agree to other arrangements in writing (email) PRIOR to auction end. Final payment is due at time of pickup in green. No checks. Leave your number if you have any questions for faster response. This bike may be sold at any time PRIOR to auction close. If the bike sells locally the auction will be cancelled immediately.
