It would look great displayed next to the mighty 501 Maico. I built this special using a Maico 125 MX chassis (circa 1971) and a Maico MD 50cc motor (circa 1970’s). The 50cc motor slotted directly into the 125 chassis without any frame modifications required. It can easily be swapped out with a 125 motor. For an additional $3200 I can provide the new owner with a complete, ebuilt Maico 125cc, quare Barrel, speed motor, f desired. It starts, uns, hifts and brakes as it should, aving only 15 minutes run time since built to verify functions. It may require re-jetting the Dellorto carburetor, epending on your elevation. I am at approx. 6500’ ASL, nd did not spend a lot of time trying to get the jetting spot on. Extra main jets included of various sizes.
The 50cc motor is rated for about 6 hp, t screams like a scalded cat and requires lots of revs, ut don’t expect it to win any races. Motor was completely disassembled, nspected and put together with new seals and bearings and anything else it needed. Chassis was stripped, ainted and reassembled, ew parts include, ut not limited to: tires, ubes, hain, prockets, ear shocks, ork seals, ork boots, ables, eat cover, evers, hrottle, ir intake hose, ir filter, ellorto carb. Good condition for 45 year old motorcycle, s expected, o warranty implied.
