Very nice vintage trail bike

Here's a beauty for your consideration. 1966 Hodaka Ace 90 with Ace 100 top end, ombat forks and aftermarket shocks. 2.75 X 17 rear wheel, .75 X 19 front wheel. I bought this through an eBay auction back in 2007 from a gentleman in PA. He set this bike up to be a decent trail bike, nd it performs excellently in that capacity. If you remember, he original forks on the Ace 90 were pretty marginal, ut with the Wombat forks, t is a really fun woods bike. The original chromes pipe was replaced with a later model (Hodaka's version of an expansion chamber). The motor is enough for most woods riding, xcept for hard-core hill climbing. If you want to pull stumps, et a 250, r 400. I rodethis in the 2008 Moto Giro USAin VT, nd had a ball! See photo. The Giro combines paved roads, ith dirt roads, nd it was up to the task. It wasregularly ridden off-road, nd the lights, orn, rake lights all worked.

I put it away for a few years, nd went back to vintage road racing. Well, y health is not doing too well these days (knees are shot), o I'm not riding anything at all. It was washed for the pics, hat's all. It is not a 100 point resto. The tank is starting to lose it's luster (it's a good 10-footer), nd the frame has paint scraps as well. However, he wheel chrome is beautiful, are for old bikes! I am not interestedin trying to work on anymore bikes with my knees as they are. Just do like I did when I bought it from the gentleman in PA, cleaned the carb, ut fresh gas in the tank, nd popped in a fresh plug, as good to go. It's an old 2 stroke, ot an Atomic clock. However, t does need a speedo cable.
