Here is a stunning example of one of the most capable Enduro bikes ever made....the 1974 Bultaco 350 Alpina.
Other than rubber....THIS BIKE IS ALL ORIGINAL AND UNRESTORED, T'S REALLY THAT CLEAN.
Most of the rubber has been replaced with original parts from Huge's Bultaco. I also replaced the original Spanish Pirelli tires and think I still have them in storage. The bike currently runs brand-new DOT approved Bridgestone knobbies. If I remember I also replaced a cable or two with nos parts as the vinyl covering had cracked.
The bike is registered for street-legal and off-road use here in the state of California and everything is current. I like the lower-profile tail-lite setup now on the bike, will include a nos original.
Bultaco experts know the proper color-scheme for a 74' is the Blue & Yellow. I bought the Red & Silver Sherpa set-up to use while restoring the original Blue & Yellow. So I have both. THE BIKE IS BEING OFFERED WITH THE ORIGINAL BLUE & YELLOW COLOR SCHEME. The freshly painted 'FLAWLESS' Sherpa Tank Set-up will be available on special request. The original blue & yellow could use some restoration.
Always stored in a de-humidified smoke-free environment....and on display as a 'Show-Piece' in my mountain cabin for the last 5-years. Every nut, olt and part is original to this classic. The odometer reads 1,636 original miles, otor is virgin. Although not necessary, have cleaned and re-jetted the carb. The bike starts right up and has never giving me any problems.
I have well over 5K invested in this (74' last year of left-hand kick Bultaco's). I bought this show-bike years ago, ivorce and a move now forces the sale. Just totaled up several receipts and have over $1,830 in replacement rubber, os tail-lite, askets, arb rebuild with extra jets, ight-bulbs, ables and other goodies including original owner's manual and service manuals (just the manuals sell for $125-150 when they can be found). I'll even include a few quarts of the recommended Golden Spectro premix 2-stroke oil.
If you're not familar with the 350-Bultaco Alpina, eel free to contact me requesting more photos, r info from the numerous rave magazine reviews. Much like a Penton, he Alpina's employed lots of Enduro technology making them stump-jumping, ock-crawling, water-crossing extremely reliable competitors. Look at the hi-mounted rear brake linkage up out of harms ways.
I prefer collectors come have a look at this 'show winning' Alpina in person, owever I will be happy to supply more photos and receipts on request. Winning bidder responsible for local pick-up or shipping.
Just added more photos of extra stuff included in this auction, s well as copies of receipts of purchase for the OEM Bultaco parts purchased. Not only am I a collector, any of my restorations can found at vintage bike shows and automotive museums. I take great pride in my work, o rest assured this bike is spot-on. New chain, prockets, ail-light, umerous other parts and rubber have all been replaced. I will also include all of the old original parts that are in still in good shape. Have a look at the receipts and you'll see, his bike is all original and no expense was spared freshening up this classic. To complete the package, riginal owner's manual, ervice manual and several magazine reviews and test reports on the 350 Alpina have been included.
This is a complete show-bike package ready to ride or woo show spectators. Finding a 42 year old original survivor dirtbike in this condition is indeed a rare find. THIS BIKE IS AN INVESTMENT AND LIKE MOST CLASSICS, HEIR VALUE IS ON THE RISE.
I made a mistake in the listing. I meant to say last year or the right-hand shifter, ot the kick-starter.
PS-Talk is cheap, hen I said I've been involved in many award winning restorations, meant the real deal... big time stuff. I have just added a new photo of one of the most collectable bikes in the world I purchased in Canada and restored years ago. The Vincent ' BLACK SHADOW' Have many more restorations on exotics we could talk about as well.
