Description

< < < PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS ITEM BEFORE YOU HAVE READ THIS AUCTION IN IT'S ENTIRETY & FULLY UNDERSTAND EVERY ASPECT OF THIS ITEM as she will need a little fairly minor work to be 100% and also PLEASE get permission from you Spouse, arents etc etc as by bidding you are entering a Biding Contract.... Thank You in advance for bidding responsibly this bike requires a non refundable 500 deposit that will be fortified if the buyer is irresponsible & does not complete their funding responsibility in this auction > > > * * * PLEASE NOTE: This Wonderful "1970" 250cc YAMAHA DT1 ENDURO was made to look a lot more like a 1968 YAMAHA DT1 250 ENDURO Tribute (a Approx. 1968 DT-1 looker) Again, his was built from a 1970 YAMAHA DT-1 ENDURO ..As I am Sure Most Hard Core YAMAHA Enthusiasts can see...that I designed this Amazing 1970 250cc YAMAHA ENDURO to look a lot more like a Slightly Earlier 1968 YAMAHA 250 ENDURO ....as the 1970 DT-1 is the last year of the 1968-1970 DT-1's That still has the Majority of the Original DT-1 Main Components as listed here...& as you can see ..we added in the following details ... (With Her Original 1970 Gas Tanks' "Brand New Custom White 1968 style paint" & 1968 Style YAMAHA Re-issue Beautiful "RED" & Chrome YAMAHA Gas Tank Badges + Earlier Style Oil Tank style "Custom Paint, triping & YAMAHA ENDURO Graphics" & Early style Muffler Chrome heat guar, amp; Her Rebuilt from the Frame Up..Earlier style Custom Made Pleated style Seat etc etc...Therefore, think .."She is the Very Best of All Worlds" ...As you can see being a 1970 She has the very last year of the "Original Series Style 1968 thru 1970 YAMAHA (ORIGINAL style) Early Rectangular tubing style swing arm (& not the 1971 to present round tube swing arm style) & also.. She also has the Original Style 1968 thru 1970 Early (ORIGINAL) style steel lower Fork Legs (& Not the 1971 & newer thicker chunkier style fork legs)...Therefore, to my eyes & most other motorcycle Enthusiasts (unless you are some kind of a concourse nit picker or something) ...I think, ery few things would give this Wonderful Bike away (That she is not a Very First Year ..1968 Original "FIRST" Year 250 YAMAHA DT-1 ENDURO ) ! ! ! ! ...( Think about it ...."When was the last time you or most anyone else have actually saw a real deal 1968 YAMAHA 250 ENDURO running right in front of you" ? So yes ! For most people ...I think ...This Beauty is very close !....& I Think that is Nothing Short of Super Cool ! ....with more Early 1968 Style Looks & YES ! being a 1970 She ..YES! She Has an ORIGINAL YAMAHA's First Generation DT-1 "FAR MORE COLLECTABLE" FIRST GENERATION "Original Piston Port" Style Engine which I have been told over the years is "FAR More VINTAGE "AHRMA" RACE-ABLE" ! ! ! !
* * * PLEASE NOTE & IMPORTANT PLEASE READ THIS (& the Entire Auction) BEFORE Bidding on this Wonderful Classic Bike: This Wonderful 1970 250 YAMAHA DT1 ENDURO was made to look a lot more like a 1968 YAMAHA DT1 Tribute (a Approx. 1968 DT-1 YAMAHA looker) Built from a 1970 YAMAHA DT-1 >>> Also Please Note: I have been running her for several days up & down my street & YES! She RUNS GREAT ...but, just noticed this morning (11/26/16) that there is some kind of issue with ONLY 5th gear ..? ? it is my guess as perfect as everything else is with her engine & trans..it may just be something just may just be sticking from her sitting for approx. 40 years ? However.. again, verything else about the wonderful bike engine RUNS GREAT ! (as detailed above & below) as YES! She RUNS AMAZING (IE) Typically, She Starts First Kick nearly Every Time" ! ! ! ! (IE) gears 1st, nd, rd, amp; 4th "ARE ALL ARE PERFECT" IN THEIR OPERATION" ! ! ! (there is only some kind of issue with 5th). I have a Mechanic that has rebuilt several DT-1 Engines & Transmissions for me over the last decade & he typically only charges me 100 dollars labor to do all of the work (disassemble & reassemble the entire Engine & Trans). parts would be additional if anything is needed Again..it (5th) just may just be sticking from sitting for nearly 40 years ? ? ? or worst case scenario It may just have non straight shifter shaft, rm or something??...or again, t just may just be something sticking from sitting for nearly 40 years ? Either way, e has lots (TONS) of spare parts & I also have several spare Original Series 250 DT-1 engines so I am sure whatever issue that could exists should be easily remedied..In nearly Half a Century of 250 DT-1 Riding & Restoration etc.. I have just never had a 250 DT1 that had a 5th gear issue before this morning. ( & I have to say..I have never had a bike that was stored as long as this Beauty) Also Please Note: I started this Wonderful Classic on ebay at just under $3,000.00 Which I think is a Bargain as a Nice Example of a 1968-1971 DT-1 like this NADA Value Guides for nearly $7,000.00 ( $6,700.00 to be exact ! ! !) & Best of All this Beauty has SO Little Use on Her as she has been in storage for ~FOUR DECADEs...Ordinarily, would just take this off ebay & have my mechanic friend check her out but ....to just start this bikes auction cost me ~80 dollars..Also, need the space here ASAP & I therefore also need to cash out this Wonderful Bike ..as I am losing my Vintage Bike Storage next door & also ..& I could use the $ for some end of the year expenses. Therefore, have Aggressively Discounting This MAGNIFICENT Classic (otherwise GREAT (other than the 5th gear issue I think she is nearly a Perfect Running Classic Beauty) So.. to compensate this most likely minor point I have lowered Her all the way down another $500.00 from our Original Ridiculous just under $3K Price all the way down to well under 2.5K...So if you are any kind of a DT-1 enthusiasts (or if you want to go thru my Long Time Mechanic Friend) ...Either way ....at the price I have her listed for ...You should be able to "Make Out Like a Bandit" on this Legendary Classic ORIGINAL 1968-71 SERIES ("THE VERY BEST of ALL DT-1 ENDURO's") ! ! ! ! If for any reason She does not sell by the end of the auction I will have him check her out and the price will DEFINITELY go back up to around $3K again as I Feel This is a Truly GREAT & Very Collectable Classic Original Series 250 DT-1 Vintage Bike ! ! ! & YES ! For Many Years.. These are Definitely Going Up in value ! ! !
<<>>

Also ...Think about how little use is on this Beauties Chassis ONLY 4758 miles & how long (~40) years she has been in Dry Covered storage ! ! ! ! ! ! & also Think About it...Where can you find another 1968-70 DT-1 Like this ...these days ..in nearly 2017 !!!! !!!!!!!!

Hi, veryone...I Have had a lot of emails this morning asking me about Shipping Quotes...To get a Good & or Very Fair Deal on Shipping ..I would get as many Quotes as possible...Otherwise, ou will pay Way Too Much...I would try Uship.com where shippers Competitively bid to get your Shipping business. To do this properly, et as Many Competitive Rates as you can (so you will know when a fair rate presents it'self).......& also to protect yourself. YOU need to get the quotes yourself ...& Therefore...(IE) you will need to get your own quotes for shipping, believe ebay my have a shipping service for vehicles... also, Ship.com is very competitive if you take your time & get plenty of shipping Bids for this ... * * About a year ago Someone bought my 1975 400 Yamaha Enduro (which Weights I think a little more than this Wonderful Bike) & the YAMAHA 400 Enduro cost about $ 325 to go from here (Los Angeles, alif.) to North Carolina. & a 400 YAMAHA IT ENDURO to Florida went for under $ 300...PLEASE NOTE: My Home is a GREAT Place to get a Shipping Quote From !!! (IE) I live just ~5 Miles North of the Los Angeles (Long Beach) Harbor (LA IS THE LARGEST SHIPPING PORT IN THE WORLD") & ~8 Miles South of the Los Angeles "Commercial District".. so "EVERY DAY A Zillions ("MANY") Trucks".. Leave this area to go to the Entire rest of the Country ...(IE) all you need to do is find a truck that has a little extra space & Trust me their Rates will be FAR Better than someone that the is no where near this area & trip is not on their way & or Not Convenient for them or ??? . Therefore, he more Quotes you get the Better the Shipping Rate will be to your home (So "YES" get lots of Quotes). Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions..... P.S. be sure to tell Each Shipper that this is a fairly "LIGHT" weight bike (I believe, pprox. 250 pounds) dual purpose bike and NOT a 700+ pound Harley etc. (TANK) or something (IE) Trust Me.."Mentioning that Fact will Save you a lot of Money") ...I live in Long Beach (Lakewood Village Country Club Subdivision), alifornia Zip = 90808
