DUCATI PANTAH ENGINED ITALIAN V TWIN SPORTS CLASSIC CAFE RACER BARN FIND PROJECT

Cagiva bought Ducati in 1985 and set about re branding the older Ducati models. this is one of them . its basically a ducati Pantah under the skin. it shares the same engine. frame brakes. heels and suspension etc. you either love or hate the looks. my personal opinion is they tried to sell to the main stream and spoilt the looks of the original Pantah. The trellis frame and great sounding engine make this bike stand out. I have seen several converted and they look great. This particular bike now 30 years old  is very original with low mileage (15k) and 1 Italian owner . it has been stood since the early 90s . The engine runs and sounds great. but very quite with the original large silent mufflers. It will re commissioning ie oils belts brakes cleaning etc to be on the safe side. he brake lever is broken and the silencers have been welded at the very ends ( black part ) so it's up to you cafe racer or original either way its a rare and different bike in the Uk. new battery and good tyres too. I have a Italian tax/identification disk and an original workshop manual. it came from Italy which is in the European union so don't need the Nova certificate. or you could buy a Pantah frame with V5 and build a Pantah. frames on Ebay for ?300 - ?350 with V5.  engine and frame numbers original and clear so would be easy to register in the uk. to sum up it runs  but will need re commissioning .
