For Sale is my daughter's Cagiva Mito 50Our daughter has turned 17 and is now on a 125 so the 50 is up for sale. As a family we have been racing with Port Talbot Motorcycle Racing Club. Hillclimbing and Twisty Sprints so we built this bike for our daughter who was then about 14 to progress on from her mini moto. We couldn't see the point of building her a race bike and buying her something to ride on the road at 16 so we built the best of both for her. Our daughter is only 5ft 2" and weighs about as much as my leg so the bike is as low and as light as it can be. if your child is tall new holes will need to be drilled in the one off suspension linkage to put the bike back to it's original heightThe 50 is enhanced by it's 12mm oversize piston (i. e it is running a Polini Sport 80 Kit)Piston Broke rebuilt the crankHas an Arrow pipe with a 20mm Dellorto CarbWhen Dyno'd at 12. 9BHP the clutch was slipping so I changed 3 of the clutch springs for TZR250 springs and the bike runs the tallest gearing I could find for it. Our daughters boyfriend has a 125 which the 50 can keep up withThese bikes (Cagiva Mito 50/ Derbi GPR 50 MK1) struggle with poor starting from new so I had to fit an Aprilia AM6 starter motor. uprated starter relay and a 7ah battery to turn over the 80 kit. So now to comply with with 30mph laws for 16 year olds there is a switch on the dash which if you flick the bike will not pull the skin off a rice pudding! (28mph)You can see from the smoke in the video that the 2 stroke is set up rich so that it will take childhood abuse hence why in the storage space under the tank cover there is a spare spark plug. its best to change a plug every once in a while than destroy itOriginally the bike was built from a minger Mito 50 which gave us the hillclimbing bike (I fixed and powder coated everything) but to make it more presentable once she turned 16. I purchased a Derbi GPR 50 as well and this bike gave us the tidy panels. missing trim and the current speedo. The mileage shown is not what this bike has covered. it has only been used for 5 months. a holiday at the IOM TT and 2 seasons of hillclimbing. The paint job in Ducati red is a John Kocinski 500 GP replica as this was easy to adapt from a Cagiva Mito 125 sticker kit and I am truley sorry that I was stupid enough to laquer in the name 'Amy'. this can be fixed with wet and dry (Mini Tech. Keynsham still has the left over paint). As a simple alternative just get a sticker with your kids name made to go over the top of the 'Amy' stickerThere is a chip in the panels where a strap broke on the way back from the TT and a crack in the fairing lowerer where my Enduro fell on it. other wise the bike is mint that also conforms to ACU race regs. and of course an MOTI can deliver local within reasonYou can see from the last picture the bike panels being resprayed at Mini Tech last Christmas so it looked fresh for when it went on the road and above that the picture shows the bike competing at Hillclimbing. everything about the bike was the same bar it had the old panels on and we didn''t fit the lights. horn etc as Amy was too young to be on the roadChris 07876138865
