1980 Can-Am 250cc MX6 w/ Ohlins Shocks Vintage Motocross Bike. In 1980 Cycle World magazine chose the MX6 as their 250 bike of the year. This Can Am MX6 is in original unrestored condition. nothing has ever been repainted or restored on this bike. I got this bike many years ago from the original owner. I have the original title that shows when the bike was first registered to prove it. most parts on this bike are original with the exception of the fenders/grips/bars from what I can see. This bike came from the factory with Ohlins gas reservoir Shocks in the rear. the shocks feel very nice still with good rebound and dampening. Last time I rode the bike was a few years ago and it ran very well and shifted smoothly. have not rode it since so it will need fresh gas and carb clean. not gummed up though so it should not take much to get her going. the clutch plates are stuck together from sitting so they will need to be lubed up as well. at the time of this posting. I did remove the plug and it kicks through with strong spark and the bike has very good compression. As you can see in the pictures the motor is very clean. wheels are straight no dents in rims. bike was never raced and is in solid shape for being a 35yr old machine. I could part this bike out for more then what I have posted it for. I still may consider that option.
