Can-Am MX1

1975 Can-Am 250 MX-1. This is a low hour AHRMA Vintage-legal bike. All the difficult to replace OEM parts such as fenders. tank. number plates/panels. handlebars. controls. shocks etc. seen here were removed after purchase. stored and replaced with more easily obtainable aftermarket items. The motor was also removed in favor of another that had already been set up for pre-mix (the original still retains its original oil-in-frame oil pump arrangement). A complete carb rebuild and new air filter. nbsp;Powder coated frame and swingarm. cad-plated fasteners and items such as snail adjusters. axles and pivot bolt. etc. . Restored wheels including polished OEM rims and hubs re-laced with Buchanan stainless spokes and nipples and new wheel bearings. Michelin S12 tires - eventually replaced with Pirelli Scorpions currently mounted. The exhaust is a modified OEM MX-1 pipe with an external silencer and additional section added to the head pipe for better flow. The pipe was then professionally ceramic coated
