Up for bids is a rare 1982 Can Am Qualifier IV 175. This is the last and the best of the Qualifier series. This bike is still a great cross country bike. The Rotax engine was so reliable and powerful that it truly was ahead of its time. This particular bike is a great runner. It was purchased about a year ago with an unwound kick-start lever. (If you know Can Ams you know this issue) Don't confuse the drain plug when you do an oil change!. It was quickly repaired and a few items were purchased: A rear fender from a company in Colorado. You may want to fit it better with some spacers so it does not touch the exhaust. A new throttle cable a new Magura 314 Throttle grips and a set of decals for the tank. It still runs the original front fender. Here it is running:
What the bike needs: A baffle for the exhaust.A new set of Fork SealsA carb cleaning.A new air filter.New mounting bolts for the headlight. This bike has the Ohlins piggyback shocks and I am starting the auction at the value of these. It still has the original Magura levers. Original seat is very nice. The bike rolls well and is very solid. The kill-switch worksSold AS IS...no warranty - it is a vintage dirtbike. It will need to be looked over before you ride it. Even though this is a 175cc model it is very fast and powerful.I am located in Missoula MT. We are 200 miles West of Spokane and 120 Miles East of Butte.Ask any questions and have fun bidding. Bill of sale only. I can hold this bike for 3 weeks for your shipper. On Jun-16-15 at 20:58:51 PDT seller added the following information:This bike is a 1982. For some reason it says in one part of the title 1992 - but as you know the original Can Ams were gone by then. Again it is a Qualifier IV from '82.
On Jun-16-15 at 21:06:28 PDT seller added the following information:Bill of sale only. ////no title required on these bikes in Montana back then. Sorry for the E-Bay listing stating 92 - as the bike is a 1982 and E-Bay won't let me change that. Please e-mail with any other questions.
On Jun-17-15 at 12:45:59 PDT seller added the following information:I had a question about the headlight and the shocks. No the headlight is not hooked up. The shocks are original to the Qualifier IV and yes these still do have dampening.
