If you have never driven a Can-Am Spyder. let me be the first to tell you that you have never driven anything quite like this.

So where does Can-Am go with these things? They are so radically different. so wildly unusual compared to anything else on the market. but what makes them so popular? What is so fun about these? That's an easy one:Can-Am saw a market and made something for that market. You love the handlebars and the feel of four wheels or a snow mobile. You love the planted feeling and don't want to have to stand every red light. You love how the driver input does effect the handling. but don't want the ride to exclusively be based around it. That's a Can-Am Spyder.

So what makes them popular? Because they're fun; a lot of fun. You get the wind through your hair and the feel of the open road without the hassle of standing up at every stop light. You can have the speed and aggressive feel of a street bike. but with an armada of safety features like traction and stability control. You can have the open. riding feel. but with the comfort of a car.

With safety features like traction and stability control. the Can-Am Spyder is made to be safe; it's made to welcome riders and not promote the terrifying image that my mother has whenever her son told her that he bought a motorcycle. With it's larger profile. alerting other motorists of your presence. it's not only safe to ride. but safe to be around. Bright headlights. sticky tires. and a suspension that I can only assume was made by wizards. the Spyder promotes comfort and safety to the highest degree.

So it goes like stink. looks fantastic. and has enough safety features that would make even the most conservative mothers feel significantly more comfortable. but how do you ride it?Easily. Just drive it. Turn it on. release the parking brake. put it in reverse if you need it. back up. shift into first. and off you go. It's impossibly easy to use. Don't fight it. don't try to make it do anything. because all it really want to do is drive. Riding a Spyder takes away the human error dangers. but keeps the driver input and weight distributing factors that enthusiasts look for completely in check.

Can-Am's vehicles come with their Digitally Encoded Security System keys. that are individually programmed to match your Can-Am product and only yours. This will add another level of security. but also allow for more peace of mind where ever you are parked.

The ST stands out as the obvious cruiser choice. Lighter and more nimble than an RT model. but with a more relaxed riders position than the RS models. And really. that seat man. it's like sitting on a cloud or something; it is crazy how comfortable and squishy it is.
