CCM 350 two stroke classic endure.
This is a rare bike. one of a few made in 1989 by CCM as a 6 day event bike. These bikes were used by a slavic 6 day event team in 1990 I found some information on the web some while ago but it seems to have disappeared now and I can't remember if they were Finnish or Norwegian.
This particular bike was on show at the 1990 Dirt Bike show in 1990. my friend Eric Mulraney bought it. registered it and used it in some club competitions and then sold it to me because it was too tall for him. I used for for a few years greenlaning and then moved on to four strokes. The bike then sat in my shed for about 18 years.
I've cleaned the points and carburettor installed a new fuel pipe and fresh fuel and the motor runs perfectly.
I've also put new seals. gaiters and oil in the front forks. stripped and cleaned the clutch plates and changed the gearbox oil. The wheel bearings are all new and the swing arm pivot has been stripped and cleaned (there is no wear). All the small nuts and bolts have been replaced with stainless steel.
The bike has lights which work off the generator (I fitted a regulator) but there are no indicators and no main/dip. It needs a battery horn to pass MOT. There is a small digital speedo so a daytime MOT is the best option.
The motor is a Rotax and I have two flywheels one heavy and one light - they give different power or torque characteristics depending on what you want the bike to do. I found it to be pretty fast and very tractable and it would outpace my mates more modern Kawasaki's a Suzuki's.
It's a five speed gearbox with drum brakes and WP rear shock and Marzocchi front. they all work well.
It needs some TLC. the front mud guard is discoloured and the seat cover has a tear otherwise it's a strong bike for 25 years old and could be MOT'd a ridden as it is. I have the V5 in my name.
My profile says I'm a business seller but I'm not so there's no warranty and it's cash on collection only - no bank drafts or shipping overseas.
