From the mid 1930’s, he Cushman Scooter Company has turned out some of the most popular and beloved scooters in the world. And with all of the competition between the manufactures in the 1940’s and 50’s, he scooters were getting better with each new model introduction…

The condition of this machine is restored. Everything from the frame to the fenders has been restored, e-built, nd/or re-finished approximately 10-12 years ago.

I believe I am the fourth owner from new but can’t be positive. This machine has been a part of my collection for approximately 5 years and is ridden occasionally. The bike is stored in a temperature controlled environment throughout the entire year. When I purchased the Cushman, t was in the condition you see in the photos. The restoration was completed approximately 14 years ago. All of the major engine and braking components are operational.

The tires are in beautiful condition with virtually no wear evident and are the correct type and size Cushman script tires for the machine. The brakes have also been checked recently for safety, ront and rear.

The engine and transmission were re-built and restored to the original factory specifications and are in excellent interior condition. The machine is very easy to start.

The paint was applied when restored in the factory correct color with the correct graphics and paint scheme applied. There are some minor touch ups that have been done over the years to spots such as the handlebars (very common), ut overall, t’s a great looking machine.

The seat was restored in the original pattern and is in very nice condition down to the wood seat frame, hich is also correct.

The Cushman on the road is very easy to handle, nd rides down the road tight, ith no shakes, himmies, r rattles. It shifts and accelerates smoothly and holds the road as it should.

There is absolutely nothing that needs to be done to this machine to ride, how, nd enjoy it. The new owner will have a top quality restoration that can be ridden and enjoyed as well as shown at any vintage motorcycle show.

Cushman scooters were widely used by the United States Armed Forces in World War II and as an alternative to automobiles before and after the war. One famous Cushman was the model 53, military model from the World War II era. Designed to be dropped by parachute with Army Airborne troops, t became known as the Cushman Airborne.

Other models were used on military bases for messenger service. The most successful model of Cushman scooter, he Eagle, as in production approximately 16 years. Scooter production ended in 1965, ut some remaining Eagles were sold as 1966 models.
