Customized Cushman Eagle.
Start with the bad... The bike has sit for the past 8-10 years. We've had the carb cleaned recently to keep it in running order, ut something isn't right with it because the last time it was started something caught fire. No damage from the fire except for the scratches on the belt cover when the bike was dropped in a panic to extinguish the flames. A piece of the hand brake lever broke off as well. Now for the worst... Something is going on in the neck of the bike. I'm not a bike mechanic but I can tell you that something either needs to be tightened or the neck itself is "flexing". However it makes riding this bike dangerous since your having to ride with one hand while shifting.
The Good... This bike is incredible. We purchased this bike the way it is and it was one of the best looking vanguard conversion bikes I had ever seen. I have owned 8 or 9 cushmans and this is by far the best. It is crazy fast. It will run 70 mph. It is also crazy loud. The black mufflers you see in the pictures are removable but I added them to keep the exhaust noise down.
Yes it needs TLC but the parts on this bike alone are worth a lot even if you used it as a donor bike for another build. Everything works. The lights work. The RPM meter works. The speedometer works. The engine runs but I don't want to crank it again for fear of a repeat fire.
The bike is titled as a 1960 but obviously most of the parts are 1964/1965. The front end appears to be a 1957-1958 but the rear end is 1964-65.
