HelloMy name is George and I'm selling my 1989 Harley-Davidson Sportster Board Track Racer. I bought my Captain's from the Fire Department old Sportster last winter. He was the second owner of the Sportster. He bought it when it only had 794 Miles on it back in 1991. He barley rode the bike over the past 5 years so he sold it to me. The Sportser was 100% stock when I bought it from him. Over the winter I turned a dumb looking 883 Sportster into a "head-turning" work of art! Iextendedthe rear swing arm 4 inches and put a 26 inch custom rear wheel on it. Then put aNegative 4 inch DNA Black Springer Front end on it to fit the 26 inch front wheel. I made the rims at my fathers CNC shop in West AllisWI. The hubs are from SMT Machining in Arizona. The reason I'M selling this bike is because it is only made to go short distances. My finacee and I drive it to Bike night every Wednesday and Thursday Nights. When I roll up with this bikeeveryonesheads turn and they come to take pictures of it. This bike gets a lot of attention. Due to the large rear rim and being an 883 sporster the bike is very slow and only goes about 45-50 MPH. To fix the speed issue I was going to put a smaller front compensator sprocket and bump the bike up to a 1200. I don't want to stick any more money into this bike project. So if you buy this bike from me Irecommendmaking thosechangesto make it faster. The bike runs great as is its just slower than stock nowbecauseof the 26 inch rims. If I end up keeping this bike I will do all the engine work and change up the gearing next winter. As of right now I already spent to much money on building this custom bike. The finacee and I want to go on longer rides with our friends so we are going to sell this bike to get a bike that is more comfortable. Here is a list of all thechangesthat I made to the bike
