Description

I won this bike at Crazy Horse South Dakota on a motorcycle ride to the 110th Harley-Davidson anniversary bash in Milwaukee, isconsin in the summer of 2013. Crazy Horse Memorial is the world’s largest sculptural undertaking located near Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota’s Black Hill’s. This “one off” 2012 custom Huey Helicopter Army themed motorcycle built by Steve Koontz of Fighting Chance Customs and is named “Help From Above”.

The aerodynamic Army chopper features a tear-drop fuel tank, metal tail jutting up over the 250 rear tire and snub wings house the brake lights and turn signals. Aviation style control panel for controls that include a flashing red strobe light on top of the wing tip. Even has helicopter landing gear “Skids” on the lower frame. The Army’s Vietnam-era air ambulance workhorse complete with a Huey helicopter paint theme. This bike honors the country’s military personnel and veterans. This is a great piece of art that really tells a story and would make an excellent addition to your personal collection. Add to that the Crazy Horse connection and this is a real piece of rolling history. I have all the supporting Crazy Horse documentation, dvertising, hotos, etters, tc. that will be included with the purchase.

Features 110 inch (1800 cc) RevTech engine with a 6 speed transmission and a 2 into 1 custom straight exhaust that sounds a lot like a Huey helicopter. Ridged Frame with a 250 rear tire, ow 9 foot long bike that tracks nice and straight down the highway.

Currently licensed in Oregon (Crazy H), lear and clean title in my name. Stored securely in a dry garage. Only ridden by me less than 500 miles. I shipped the bike from Portland Oregon to Scottsdale Arizona for Arizona Bike Week in 2014 and this bike took 1st place in its class (custom builder). Also trailered the bike to the 2014 Warrior Brotherhood bike show in Lacey Washington at the H-D Dealership (near Seattle and took 1st place for Custom and 1st place for Best in Show. Also won 1st place in several local bike shows. Trophies will be included with the bike purchase. Bike has also been ridden in local regional Veterans Day Parades. Never ridden in the rain.

This bike is a real head turner. Great bike for Parades or Bike & Car shows. Attracts bikers, ets, viation, nd medical interests alike.

More on Crazy Horse located just 20 miles for Mount Rushmore is over 60 years in the making is a memorial to the spirit of legendary Lakota leader Crazy Horse and his culture. The annual Crazy Horse motorcycle drawing was held on Sept. 6th 2013 during a day of remembrance events honoring Crazy Horse the man, ho was killed on Sept. 6th in 1877 while under a flag of truce, nd sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski, ho was born in Boston in 1908.

More on the Helicopter Ambulance “DUSTOFF” is the call sign specific to U.S. Army Air Ambulance Units. (Also known as the call sign “MEDEVAC” by the 1st Calvery Division). The call sign represented the then dry and dusty countryside. Helicopter pickups in the fields often blew dust, irt, lankets, nd shelter halves all over the men on the ground. DUSTOFF later became an acronym meaning “Dedicated Unhesitating Service To Our Fighting Forces”.

DUSTOFF became the most revered and effective battlefield operating system in Vietnam, ith close to 1 million souls rescued and unprecedented survival records. DUSTOFF did some of most dangerous flying in Vietnam. God bless the DUSTOFF crews out there right now for saving countless soldiers who are having the worst day of their life.
