Many modifications have been made to this bike to make it even lighter, aster and better handling. The work was carried out by Bill Becker, n award winning builder. Check out a couple of his builds on Bike EXIF.com (Norton Commando Mark III and Aermacchi Sprint). A notebook recording products, aterials, ources, eceipts and information relevant to the building of this bike is included with the motorcycle. All bearings, ushings and rubber parts are new. Materials and parts that went into the making of this custom far exceed the opening bid.
This bike could easily be used as a dual sport machine since it handles like a motocross bike but has the top end needed for highway use. It has more than enough power at lower RPMs but becomes a real screamer when it hits the power band. Since it was rebuilt, ess than 500 miles have been logged.
Here are a few of the noteworthy modifications made to this bike:
· Suspension: RD400 front forks assembly with alloy brace added. Hand made alloy rear swing arm with new RedWing shocks.
· Brakes: Nissin caliper and larger, ightened rotor at front wheel. Great stopping capability.
· Wheels: Alloy rims, tainless steel spokes, ew dual sport tires.
· Body work: Norton steel tank and flat tracker fiberglass seat with custom “Yamaha” tire-track graphic, BS rear mud guard. Custom fabricated resevoir concealed under the gas tank supplies the two-stroke oil injection system.
· Lighting: Halogen lamps concealed in custom number plate.
LED tail light and LED bar-end turn signals.· Exhaust: Expansion chambers with ceramic coating and “stinger” mufflers.
